Orion Motor Sports provides custom tailored, dyno tested racing engines for vintage, SCCA and Solo racing. Orion Motor Sport's 20 plus years of experience building Alfa Romeo racing engines is incorporated in every engine we build. Orion Motor Sports' engines have won 3 National Championships and have hundreds of wins in SCCA and vintage races.

At Orion Motor Sports, engine development is an ongoing process. We are continually researching and developing engines and products for our own racing effort. When new techniques result in success on the dyno and on the racetrack, these improvements are incorporated into every custom engine we build.

At Orion, special attention is paid to each and every detail of the Alfa Romeo racing engine. We take the extra time to improve the lubrication system, a weak link on stock Alfa engines. Also, specially developed machining operations insure proper fit, alignment and clearances for all vital components. On high output racing engines, our special attention and assembly techniques result in a rigid block and improved crankshaft life.

Dyno testing is highly recommended for all racing engines built at Orion. These tests are performed on a Superflow 900 series computerized dyno and are utilized to brake-in the engine; to optimize ignition, carburation, and camshaft timing; and to document engine performance. Computer printouts and the complete engine build logs are available to our customers.
