Orion Engineering is a full service race, restoration and fabrication shop located in Omaha, Nebraska. Employing a staff of mechanics, fabricators, machinists and engine builders. With our staff and facilities Orion is able to provide expert race and vintage preparation. Once your car is complete, enclosed transporters can carry your car to vintage, SCCA or IMSA events. At the event trackside support staff will insure your car receives professional service and support.
With shop facilities offering fabrication,restoration, engine development and race preparation, Orion is your complete race and restoration center.
The fabrication area includes both MIG and TIG welders, tube benders and a full machine shop. The staff has extensive experience fabricating custom race parts, roll cages and chassis reinforcements and updates. Orion's fabricators are also experienced building tube frame chassis for GT racing.
The engine development includes Alfa 750, 101 and 105 series engines, Nissan A series engines, BMC A series engines, and Ford Cosworth engines. Three SCCA national championships and numerous divisional titles showcase success with these engines.
Orion's reputation as a restoration shop was enhanced in 1992 by an invitation to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The car entered was a 1951 Ferrari 212 Export, first raced at LeMans in 1951, and has been featured in the December, 1992 Road & Track.
Orion was founded by nationally know engine builder Jack Beck. His accomplishments include 3 national championships, numerous SCCA silver and bronze medals and countless SCCA divisional titles.
